Chennai aim for their first win as they meet flamboyant Kolkata

Preview KKR vs CSK

Just six matches held yet, Kolkata have two wins in two matches and are going to meet Chennai at their home ground and Chennai were at the bottom of the table which was quite unfamiliar to them. As Chennai chase their first win in this season, they will aim to take over Kolkata led by Sourav Ganguly.

Kolkata have won two out of their two matches, both of them against the finalists of the last year IPL and they take a bead at continuing their winning streak. They were in a similar situation in the inaugural IPL but they eventually stood at sixth position.

On the other hand Chennai who had a humiliating defeat by other South-Indian team, Deccan Chargers in their opener got a lot of space for mistakes that are to be rectified. The same repeated for the team last year as they lost their first match against Mumbai Indians, yet they were managed it to the semi-finals.

Probable Changes…

The Kolkata got Shane Bond who might be spearhead for their bowling attack, but he might not replace Langeveldt instead a three man attack will be used by the management. And the other alternative is not changing the winning team and allowing Bond to sit in the fug-out.

Mukhaya Ntini will be one of the new man in as he was not selected by South African selectors despit e of his good performance in Pro20 title triumph  He might replace Kemp who failed in both batting and bowling and opener Parthiv Patel might get a chance into the playing eleven as a replacement for Vijay as he in this IPL.

In the past…

Kolkata were thumped by Chennai by nine wickets in the first IPL clash and lost by three runs via the D/L method at home. Fortunes turned around in South Africa with Kolkata winning by seven wickets at Centurion, while the earlier encounter was washed out.
