Indian Premier League franchise Delhi Daredevils on Monday launched their ‘Member Club’ to create a platform to connect with its fan base.
The Member club will offer several cricket-based benefits, including discounts on match tickets, attending team practices, meeting the players at social engagements after matches, that will enhance their bonding with the team.
Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit inaugurated the Member Club and became its first Gold card member, which has an annual membership fee of Rs 999.
“It is momentous occasion for cricket in Delhi. I believe it will create greater awareness and greater commitment among the fans and help them to watch matches without running from pillar to post,” Dikshit said.
Former India opener Chetan Chauhan, who was also present on the occasion, said “It’s a good concept. We have similar clubs in soccer where the members of club support and cheer their teams. So I feel it will improve the sport activity in the capital.”
There are two types of memberships — Red card (Rs 99 annual fee) and Gold card (Rs 999 annual fee), each having different benefits.
The registration of membership will start from Tuesday.
