The shifting of IPL from India is going to create quite a few problems – apart from the logistics of changing base – for the teams.
To begin with, the team owners will have order for a new set of clothing for the event. The jerseys were ordered keeping in mind the sweltering, humid April and May in India. However, the weather in both England and South Africa will be cold in that period and players will need proper protection.
“We know that it’s going to be very cold and now we have to order for new set of winter clothing. Thankfully, all the teams are sponsored and it should not be much of a financial issue,” a team official told TOI on Monday.
“You need at least two weeks to get the stuff ready. I hope we will get enough time to get the apparel in time for the event,” another team official said.
