Pakistan has never sought any advice on the safety of its cricketers and unilaterally barred its players from coming to India for IPL, said one source of the Indian government.
After Pakistan barred its players from participating in the Indian premiere League, the Indian government, in reaction, said that there is no such threat to anybody in India.
The sources added that the Pakistan government took the decision unilaterally–without any consultation with the Indian government on the security issue.
The source again said that the threat is only Pakistan’s perception, in fact there is no such threat.
Earlier, the Pakistan government barred its cricketers from participating in the IPL, citing security reasons. The second edition of the IPL starts from April this year.
