Kings XI Punjab announce final squad for IPL 4

Kings XI Punjab on Tuesday announced a 23-member final squad for the fourth edition of the Indian Premier League Twenty20 tournament, scheduled to be held from April 8 to May 28.

Kings XI Punjab will be led by Australia’s ace cricketer Adam Gilchrist, who led Deccan Chargers to win the IPL 2 title in South Africa.

At the helm is Michael Bevan, the Team Coach, who brings with him valuable years of experience and expertise and will be responsible for training and guiding the players throughout the season.

“All our players have their distinctive qualities yet complement each other to form a team. This team will bring in a new perspective and vigour to the game and we promise our fans an exhilarating and action-packed season of cricket in IPL 4,” COO of Kings XI Punjab, Col Arvinder Singh said in a release.

Kings XI Punjab will seek replacements for its two injured English players – pacer Stuart Broad and all-rounder Dimitri Mascarenhas – ahead of the Indian Premier League next month.

Broad suffered a side strain during the ongoing World Cup, while Mascarenhas is nursing an Achilles injury. The Punjab team comprises seven international players, 16 Indian players, the franchise’s CEO Arvinder Singh said. Singh said the team will play four matches in Mohali and three in Dharamsala.

Dear Prity Zinta / Arvinder Sir,

Please keep me also in your waiting list .
I am ready for any type of trial.

During my Trial in KKR IPL TEAM on 02/02/2011 at Delhi ,during Batting in net , my batting was appreciated by their main coach Mr Dav Whatmore he told that I am technically very good and very excited for Batting.

But due to some reason all who came for trial were told that all the bats man can go back.As they wanted one boller only.

My biodata is already with you.

    Thanks and Regards,

    MANDEEP

I can see a very poor Indian player combination compared to others. On the other side of the coins the overseas players are best. KXIP might struggle with the Indian players.

    GILLY,

Please show something. You are the very best ever. I am looking forward to see the (gilly’s ROCKET) which was absent in edition 3. DO IT AGAIN FOR KXIP WHAT YOU DID in DC.
