As a sports merchandising initiative, Jaipur IPL Cricket Pvt Ltd (JIPL), owners of Indian Premier League champions Rajasthan Royals, have appointed Kids Media India (KMI) as their sole licensing distributors in the country.
KMI, a subsidiary of Dubai-based Spacetoon Media Group, will handle all the negotiations for nationwide marketing of the Rajasthan Royals products, a media release said.
Manoj Badale, chairman and co-owner of Rajasthan Royals, said the franchisee was upbeat about the marketing initiative which would cater to the steep demands from its fans following the team’s triumph in the inaugural IPL season last year.
“We are very upbeat about our merchandising programme. As champions of the inaugural IPL we believe we have the right platform to launch a nationwide merchandising initiative,” he said.
“Requests for Rajasthan Royals products from fans and partners alike after our win have been overwhelming and we hope to work closely with KMI to leverage this passionate following to its maximum potential,” he added.
